In the beginning of 2010 Terenzo International Hairdressing held an inter salon competition. Each stylist and apprentice from all 4 salons had to enter.
I thought about the best ways to approach this competition, I could either come up with an idea and then find the appropriate model for the style I had created OR... I could find a model and create a style that best suited her...After weeks of brainstorming I found the best option would be to search for my model first and go from there.
I found the prefect model my friend Storm Evans who is beautiful to say the least, outgoing and a super hard working Stylist. GREAT!
I explained what my ideas were and although she wasn't very keen on the idea of having to wear black lipstick, she went with it anyway.
Storm went from a natural caramel brown to a dark purple black, with an undercut graduating from a dark to a light faded purple within a couple of hours.
This look not only landed in the finals but also in the very well known IMAGE hair magazine South Africa.
